Neil Nugent
About Neil Nugent
Neil's main instrument is trombone, although he played vibes in the
fifties and sixties. He arranges on the piano. His main influences
include: Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Thad Jones, Bill Holman, Bob
Brookmeyer, Marty Paitch and Oliver Jones. Neil currently plays in a
seventeen-piece band led by Harry Waller. In the late sixties, he
wrote for a local TV station.
