Micala (aka Shannon) and Sam met on the Internet Relay Chat network DALnet, and have been producing music remotely over the Net by exchanging MIDI sequences and audio files.
The tunes are in MPEG stereo audio format. This is a good, near-CD quality format with about a 10:1 compression ratio. You'll need a player, and here's some good choices for various platforms; you can see a huge list on MPEG.ORG otherwise.
Be aware that these files can take a long time to download over a modem, since they are typically over 5 MB and you'll (hopefully) get a rate of around 2 kB/s (which works out to be a 40 min download time). We've avoided putting the tunes up in RealAudio format, since the sound quality is really degraded. We think our songs are worth the wait.
In case you're curious, we record vocals, guitar and synth with audio cards in our PCs and Sam digitally produces and engineers the songs using Cakewalk Pro Audio and Cool Edit 96 on a run-of-the-mill 75 MHz Pentium PC running Windows 95.

That Means a Lot (2/98, 3.1 MB, © 1965 Lennon/McCartney, Sony-ATV Songs LLC (BMI)) is the third and last recording we did on November 19, 1997 at Micala's house. The tune was never released when the Beatles were together - it appeared for the first time on the ANTHOLOGY set.
Shadow Boxer (1/98, 5.8 MB, © 1996 Fiona Apple, FHW Publishing (ASCAP)) is a tune from Fiona Apple's album TIDAL. We recorded the guitar and vocals together at Micala's house on November 19, 1997.
Hurt Me (12/97, 5.5 MB, © 1997 Hokin/Zavacky) is a slow, hard tune with vocals and acoustic guitar accompanied by bass, drums, piano, lead guitar and pad synth. The tune is in 6/8 meter and showcases the harsher end of Micala's poetry. The vocal track was recorded when we were together on November 19, 1997.
